Communication Specialist
Remote Webcam only Indianapolis IN
Training will be from 8:30am to 5pm for 4 -6 weeks once training is complete work hours are 10:30am to 7pm EST. Candidate must be on site in Indianapolis for the first day of work and to pick up equipment.
Skills Required
Bachelors in Communications /Social Work or Information Technology Education Special Education Home Visiting or related health or human services.
Experience in positions involving maternal needs special needs or work with very young children.
Knowledge of typical and atypical child development and special needs conditions
Prior exp. utilizing databases and ability to produce data reports.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Outlook Power Point Excel & SharePoint
Well-developed communication skills both written & verbal.
Nice to have
Bilingual in English/Spanish/Burmese/Haitian-Creole.

The Helpline mission to reduce the infant mortality rate in Indiana by connecting families with access to available resources focused on improving the health of mothers and their children using a system model promote cross-sector collaboration in order to build efficient and effective early childhood systems that mitigate the impact of adversity and support protective factors among families so that all children can grow develop and thrive to their full potential.
Purpose of Position/ Summary
The focus of the position is to provide information referrals and resources to link mothers pregnant women women of child bearing age and families to a network of services within their community. The Communication Specialist is responsible for answering incoming calls and identify the clients barriers to accessing services and bridging the gap between families and resources
The Communication Specialist provide state-wide services to reduce infant mortality rates in Indiana. The Communication Specialist provide screening & referral services for eligible pregnant women in targets counties by contacting them directly and referring them to home visiting services and resources.
