Work Arrangement: Hybrid - must reside within commuting distance of the Manheim auction market (Bordentown NJ 08505). Onsite support required as needed; remote work permitted part of the week based on operational needs.

Overview Tekberry is seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist to support transportation operations with our client a leader in the automotive auction and vehicle logistics industry.
This role coordinates the movement of vehicles between dealerships auctions and transportation carriers across a regional network. The position functions as a dispatch and logistics operations coordinator responsible for managing carriers resolving transportation delays and ensuring service level commitments are met.
This is an operations-focused role involving dispatching vendor coordination and operational decision-making - not a traditional call center position.

Key Responsibilities -
Verify vehicle readiness by making real-time outbound calls to pickup locations and transport carriers (recorded line)

Coordinate dispatch and scheduling of vehicle transportation across the region

Work directly with carriers to confirm pickup plans negotiate timing and resolve service failures

Follow up daily on vehicle status ETAs cancellations and delays
-
Investigate rejected VIN assignments and coordinate re-dispatch of vehicles
-
Manage escalated vehicle movement issues with internal teams and carrier partners
-
Monitor transport holds and verification delays and take corrective action
-
Enter manual transportation orders and process requests using AS400 and AutoIMS systems
-
Process transportation fees and assessorial charges
-
Request and track hold harmless agreements and releases
-
Monitor and correct master data and location record discrepancies
-
Manage shared regional email inboxes and coordinate across locations
-
Create corrective action plans with vendors when service levels are missed
-
Build relationships with Manheim auction operations and commercial teams
-
Track carrier performance delays and service metrics
-
Compile transportation data and generate operational performance reports
-
Support operational margin awareness through timely dispatch and problem resolution

Identify operational problems and implement solutions quickly in a fast-paced environment
Must-Have Qualifications -
1 3 years experience in logistics dispatch transportation coordination dealership operations fleet operations or brokerage operations

Strong outbound phone communication skills (frequent carrier/vendor calling required)

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a time-sensitive environment

Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
-
High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Outlook and Word

Ability to work independently within a structured operational workflow

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Valid drivers license
-
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications -
Automotive auction dealership fleet transportation or freight experience

Dispatching load planning or broker coordination experience

Experience working directly with carriers or vendors

Call center experience involving operations coordination (not inbound retail support)

Experience in sales negotiation or vendor accountability

Some college coursework
