Job Title: Technician
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Grand Rapids MI 49504
Shift:
- Working Shift: 3rd Shift
- Training Shift: 1st Shift
Key Responsibilities - Construct troubleshoot calibrate adjust test and maintain electronic mechanical and electromechanical systems
- Work from schematics engineering drawings and verbal/written instructions
- Operate equipment and conduct tests with documented results
- Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments and replacements
- Prepare compounds and solutions as required
- Provide technical support in production maintenance testing and process improvement
- Gather format and analyze technical data using defined procedures
- Run minor projects including testing data interpretation and reporting
- Suggest and implement work process improvements
- Train and support lower-level technicians
Must Have - Understanding of Process Engineering principles
- Ability to learn and use MAP Agile and SAP
- Knowledge of Scientific Method (DMAIC)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings
- Experience troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems
- Strong communication skills
- Minimum 4 years of relevant technician experience
Nice to Have - Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing
- Experience running minor technical projects
- Experience training or mentoring technicians
- Vocational or technical certification
Role Scope - Seasoned individual contributor with limited supervision
- Owns and executes minor technical projects
- Performs non-routine technical work
- Proposes solutions to technical problems
- Communicates with internal teams
- Provides coaching and technical guidance to peers
Education - Vocational or technical education or certification preferred
- Equivalent experience accepted
