What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Control access by monitoring entry and exit points verifying authorization as required and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
- Monitor cameras alarms and other security-related systems as assigned and report irregularities to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
- Document patrol activity incidents and observations in written and/or electronic reports including relevant details for follow-up.
- Perform routine checks of doors gates loading areas and equipment rooms for signs of damage forced entry and/or unsecured conditions.
- Assist with emergency situations such as medical incidents fire alarms and/or evacuations by following post orders and communicating updates to responders and site leadership.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel contractors and delivery drivers to support orderly operations while maintaining post requirements.
- Support access management for deliveries and service vendors by confirming work authorization directing to designated areas and noting arrival and departure times as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
