As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Asheville NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and contractors at a government corrections location by following site-specific security-related procedures access requirements and post orders.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas checking doors gates and restricted zones to help reduce unauthorized access and other security-related issues.
- Monitor and report unusual activity disturbances and potential threats; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and request additional support as needed.
- Control entry and exit points by verifying identification authorizations and deliveries; screen prohibited items per policy and document refusals or exceptions.
- Complete detailed written reports and logs preserve observations and evidence when directed and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and on-site officials during routine operations and emergency response activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
