Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol in Fort Lauderdale FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and suspicious activity document observations and communicate clearly with staff customers and local responders as needed. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a financial services location.
- Carry a firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies post orders and applicable laws while maintaining a professional presence that may help to deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of lobbies offices ATM areas parking areas and the perimeter monitoring for unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
- Complete detailed incident reports shift logs and activity documentation and communicate observations and/or policy violations to supervisors and client representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
