Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Our rapidly evolving business sector offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic collaborative and passionate team that shares responsibility for the operational quality within our data centers. With multiple data centers in the country we are looking for a full-time (40-hour) On-site Data Center Technician to join this role you will:
- Provide hands-on support for maintaining and troubleshooting network and server equipment.
- Execute hardware installations upgrades and replacements of network devices servers and related components.
- Ensure all upgrades and replacements meet company standards and operational requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to server hardware including conducting detailed tests to ensure equipment reliability.
- Manage and prioritize tasks using the companys support ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and workspace ensuring that all equipment is stored properly and that the work environment is safe and efficient.
- Ensure that our inventory system (EAM) is up-to-date.
Our expectations
You are a proactive problem-solver who takes ownership works with a high level of accuracy and tidiness thriving in both independent and team environments. You excel at analytical troubleshooting and have a strong technical understanding of Copper (UTP Cat5e Cat6 Cat6a) and fiber optic (MMF SMF) media or you have a passion for technology and are eager to learn. You also are/have:
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems is a plus.
- Previous experience working with support ticketing and warehouse systems is a plus.
- Electrical certifications are a plus.
- Ability to follow specified policies and procedures.
- Fluency in English.
- Flexibility towards working hours; available for rotating 24/7 support on 8-hour shifts including mornings nights weekends and bank holiday shifts.
- Comfortable with tasks that may involve physical activity as part of the role.
- Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.
- Located within a reasonable distance from the office or willing to relocate for a sustainable commute in the long term.
- Drivers License is a plus.
