Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Gate Driver in Beaumont TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location you will manage entry points verify credentials screen visitors and contractors and maintain clear logs and communication with site teams. Your visible presence and customer-focused approach help to deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth daily operations. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license for the job state.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel contractors and visitors by following access control procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization issuing visitor credentials when directed and documenting arrivals and departures in required logs.
- Conduct vehicle and/or package screening as directed observe for prohibited items or unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible post presence.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications coordinating with site contacts and preparing clear incident reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of controlled entry areas and nearby perimeter points as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
