As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Associate in Ashburn VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government education location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns document activity and provide professional customer service while communicating clearly with staff students and visitors. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government educational location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor check-in processes according to site procedures assisting staff with directing visitors students and/or deliveries to the appropriate location.
• Complete accurate written reports and incident logs communicate observations to site contacts and support security-related investigations as directed by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
