Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control in Fountain Inn SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location you will monitor entry points manage badges and support alarm panel response while using a computer or tablet to document activity. You will conduct routine patrols stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents and deliver excellent customer service through clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to all personnel by carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Control entry and exit for employees contractors drivers and visitors by checking identification issuing temporary credentials managing the visitor log and directing guests to the appropriate areas.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems report irregular conditions and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including following post orders notifying site contacts and/or emergency services and completing required documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas including building interiors exterior grounds and perimeter with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
