Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol in Fairfax VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Join Allied Universal as a patrol officer at a fast-paced healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post supporting patients visitors and staff through strong customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interiors parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity identify hazards and report maintenance concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor guidance wayfinding and badge and/or credential checks in accordance with site policies while supporting patient privacy expectations.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols incidents and unusual conditions; document observations accurately and communicate updates during shift turnover to support continuity of security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Must have 2 years of Armed related experience.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess an Active Armed VA DCJS
- Handcuff pepper spray and baton experience are preferred but will train if needed.
- CPR and first aid certification are preferred but will train if needed.
- Will have to pass the contracts required SO4 Shoot at the range.
- Will have to take the contracts required polygraph.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
