Job Description
As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol in LINCOLN NE you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds remain visible to help deter security-related incidents and support staff patients and visitors through professional communication and customer service. You will document observations respond to calls for assistance and partner with site teams to resolve concerns. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures access control guidelines and other security-related policies and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents alarms and calls for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner escalating concerns through the chain of command as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location including entrances waiting areas corridors parking areas and perimeter points noting and reporting unusual conditions.
- Assist with visitor management activities such as directing foot traffic supporting check-in processes as assigned and helping maintain orderly public areas while documenting security-related observations.
- Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
