We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain knowledge to support Agile delivery teams. The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile practices remove impediments and ensure teams deliver high-quality insurance solutions that align with business objectives. This role requires close collaboration with product owners engineering teams and insurance business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams within P&C insurance initiatives
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning Daily Stand-ups Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
- Coach teams on Agile/Scrum principles values and best practices
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed and prioritized backlog
- Remove team impediments and proactively manage dependencies and risks
- Promote continuous improvement team accountability and delivery predictability
- Track and report Agile metrics (velocity burn-down sprint commitments etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting claims policy administration and IT
- Support Agile transformation initiatives and scaling frameworks (SAFe LeSS or similar)
- Ensure compliance with organizational governance and insurance regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
- Strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance
- Exposure to underwriting claims billing or policy administration systems
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum Kanban SAFe)
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams
- Excellent facilitation communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira Confluence Azure DevOps or Rally
