What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas exterior grounds and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity unsecured doors and/or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with onsite staff and/or local responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow assist with check-in expectations as directed by site policy and report unauthorized persons and/or policy violations.
• Complete detailed written reports and incident documentation communicate important observations to supervisors and site contacts and participate in shift briefings and/or passdowns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• The client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
