Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Shelter Patrol Driver in San Antonio TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more. As an armed patrol officer at a shelter location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to concerns with calm clear communication. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid drivers license supporting mobile patrols and quick assistance where needed. Must pass a Physical Fitness Exam (1 mile run: 12 minutes 22 sit ups & 12 push ups)
Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff residents and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures access control requirements and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Carry and use assigned authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws post orders and Allied Universal policies; maintain required qualifications and documentation for an armed post.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; document actions taken and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas including common spaces entrances parking areas and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Complete detailed reports and logs monitor alarms and/or cameras when assigned and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and site contacts to help to deter unwanted activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Handcuffs pepper spray and/or baton are preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
