Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a General Manager (Operations) on behalf of our client based in Gauteng and Durban.
The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining profit contribution by managing staff establishing and accomplishing business objectives and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
BRIEF ROLE DESCRIPTION
To obtain profit contribution by managing staff establishing and accomplishing business objectives and ensuring compliance with SLAs.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
- Execute effective planning delegating coordinating staffing organizing and decision-making to attain profit targets while ensuring SLA compliance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans through studying technological and financial opportunities presenting assumptions and recommending objectives.
- Ensure realization of objectives through establishing plans budgets performance measurements resource allocation and continuous progress reviews.
- Coordinate procurement production field and technical services policies and practices; align actions with corporate staff.
- Assign accountabilities monitor performance appraise job results promote information sharing and provide development opportunities.
- Build and uphold company image through collaboration with customers community organizations and employees enforcing ethical business practices.
- Maintain quality service standards through establishing and enforcing organizational policies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends through seminars workshops professional publications bench marking and global best practices.
- Enhance staff effectiveness through recruitment selection orientation training coaching and communication of company values and objectives.
- Manage staff performance through regular monitoring coaching support and feedback.
- Manage employee relations and workplace conflicts implementing corrective action aligned with company policies.
- Responsible for capacity building of subordinate managers.

- Matric (Senior Certificate)

- Minimum 5 Years Relevant Managerial Experience in the Services Industry

Sales and Marketing qualifications will be an added advantage Experiences Minimum 2 to 3 Years relevant experience in a similar position and specific knowledge gained in Chemical raw material sales Good knowledge of Chemical raw materials of various segments. Proficient in verbal and written English. Skills/ Attributes Target driven and customer centric Strong technical and business acumen. Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision. Team player to be able to interact in a multi-disciplinary team.
