Job Description
As a Security Officer - Fulfillment Gatehouse PT in New Hill NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials and directing drivers employees and visitors to the proper locations.
- Screen and/or log inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic including checking delivery documentation and coordinating dock and yard access with site personnel.
- Monitor cameras alarms and access control systems reporting unusual activity and escalating concerns per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility shipping and receiving areas trailer yards parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Perform entrance and perimeter checks to help identify unsecured doors damaged fencing and other conditions that could impact site operations then report findings through the appropriate channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical calls fire alarms and disputes following site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports and logs including visitor and vendor records incident reports and shift activity documentation.
- Coordinate with site leadership and local emergency services when needed maintaining clear radio and/or phone communications.
- Provide guidance to employees and visitors on site rules such as prohibited items restricted areas and traffic patterns supporting a professional location experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
