Job Description
As a Security Officerin Garland TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location you will greet associates and visitors verify credentials manage entry points and document activity using site systems. You will remain visible to help support security-related policies respond to concerns and communicate clearly with operations teams. This is a driving post. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel drivers and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at entry points by verifying identification credentials and delivery documentation issuing temporary badges as directed and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
- Screen inbound and outbound traffic by coordinating with dock and yard personnel monitoring gate activity and reporting suspicious or unauthorized access attempts to help to deter incidents.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications documenting events and supporting first responder actions as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility trailer yards and perimeter monitoring doors docks and restricted areas and reporting hazards damage and irregular conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 years of security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
