What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings common areas parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and assist with traffic flow during peak campus activity special events and/or after-hours operations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbance calls medical incidents and/or fire and alarm activations and coordinate with local responders as directed.
• Observe document and report security-related concerns hazards and/or maintenance issues using required reporting tools and procedures.
• Provide assistance with locating buildings providing directions and supporting authorized escorts as requested and permitted by site policy.
• Operate and monitor campus security-related systems such as radios key control processes and/or camera systems when assigned.
• Complete routine patrol logs incident reports and shift handoffs with clear timely communication to supervisors and oncoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 years law enforcement experience OR 2 years security supervisor/manager experience OR 3 years security experience is required.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
