About The Role
Were hiring a Head of Compliance to design and own Whops compliance program across all business lines. Youll own regulatory strategy and operational compliance across our payments platform and marketplace from AML/KYC to trust & safety and privacy. Youll work closely with Product Payments and Leadership to build compliance into our business. This role will be part of our Legal Compliance and Risk function.
Scope
- Design build and scale Whops overall compliance program
- Own AML/KYC sanctions screening and transaction monitoring programs
- Manage trust & safety frameworks prohibited products policies and merchant underwriting
- Manage privacy data protection and regulatory compliance (GDPR CCPA etc.)
- Ensure new features (including crypto/stablecoin) are compliant by design
What Were Looking For
- 7 years in compliance AML/KYC or regulatory affairs at payments/fintech/marketplace companies
- Comfortable with regulatory ambiguity you can translate unclear rules into defensible positions
- Strong with numbers metrics and operational details
- High agency builder mindset good partner
- Exposure to crypto/stablecoins is a plus
