Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and vehicle patrols maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents and respond to reports with calm clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. Bring integrity teamwork and a people-first mindset to support staff and visitors every shift.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including communicating by radio and/or phone with site leadership and public agencies as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas verify identification and/or authorization and document visitor vehicle and contractor activity according to post orders.
- Complete detailed incident reports shift logs and patrol documentation and assist with searches for prohibited items and/or response to alarms as directed by site policy.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
