- Manage train and motivate all personnel reporting to this position.
- Administration and implementation of staff training in all aspects of the securitys operations i.e. business telephone usage guest relations security services retail sales etc.
- Serve as a link between the hotel and the security industry.
- Performance management discussions as required.
- Conduct developmental discussions/performance reviews with individuals who directly report to Security Director.
- Ensure that weekly/monthly departmental communication meetings are effective.
- Responsible for supervising all aspects of Colleagues i.e. recognition progressive corrective action etc.
- Responsible for the efficient training of all Colleagues in all aspects of job tasks.
- Responsible for all security departments emergency training.
- Ensure Colleagues adhere to all security standards as stated in the employee handbook.
- Responsible in the recognition training appraisals and progressive correction of all recreation team members. This includes interviews when applicable
- Follow and ensure that all Colleagues follow all safety procedures and practices lead by example.
- Ensure that the security department maintains a positive relationship internally and with all departments in the hotel.
- Effective colleague communication and welfare for new and existing staff as well as other departments at the property and corporate teams
- Available for Colleague and Manager inquiries.
- Facility walk-through to have a visual presence within the department for all security staff.
- Ensure individual is well versed in all aspects of the securitys operations i.e. business telephone usage guest relations retail sales security services.
- Ensure the security is receiving the highest ratings from the TrustYou VOG scores as well as LQA / Forbes guest satisfaction and is a priority at all times
- Be present in daily operations to oversee the success of the guest and colleague experience including daily walk-throughs to assess quality.
