Job Description
As a Security Officer - Main Entrance Control in Whitestown IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location where you will manage access control greet customers and staff and help monitor entrances and key areas. You will conduct routine patrols document activity using a computer or tablet and communicate clearly to help reduce security-related incidents. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
- Operate an access control post by monitoring entrances and exits greeting and directing visitors and verifying identification credentials and/or delivery documentation as required by site policy.
- Manage visitor vendor and contractor access by issuing and/or collecting badges maintaining access logs and coordinating entry approvals with store or property management.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting concerns completing required documentation and communicating updates to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to identify irregular activity unsecured doors and/or policy violations with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
