Job Description
As a Security Officer - Badge Verification in Parkersburg WV you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees drivers vendors and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a high-volume logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification authorizations and delivery documentation issuing temporary credentials when required and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
- Screen and/or inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles trailers and packages as directed by post orders helping to deter unauthorized removal of property and/or entry to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner completing timely notifications and written reports per site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of docks yard areas parking areas and perimeter to identify irregular conditions hazards and/or policy concerns and report findings to site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
