Role details:

Were seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our Shepparton Cans Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a day shift working 7am 3pm.

What youll do:

Reporting to the Shift Coordinator youll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.

• Operating can forming and welding machinery to meet production service and quality standards for the manufacture of food cans.
• Troubleshooting and dealing with production issues alongside maintenance team.
• Assist in welding forming and palletising machine setups dismantling and job changeover tasks for a production run.
• Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers.
• Maintain safe work and operating practices and a high level of housekeeping.

What youll bring:

• Experience within Can making or double seeming experience highly regarded.
• Previous operations experience in a canning or high-speed environment also highly regarded.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required Certificate III qualification beneficial.
• Confident in working with hand tools and to fine detail when setting up machinery.
• Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
• The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn.
