Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Courthouse Patrol in Queens NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures government facility policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies state and local laws licensing requirements and post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities and surrounding perimeter areas including entrances corridors platforms and parking areas documenting observations and reporting hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical calls suspicious activity and unauthorized access coordinating with site leadership and local responders as directed.
- Complete security-related reports and logs monitor cameras and/or alarm systems when assigned and communicate clearly with supervisors and public agency personnel to support daily operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
