PRIMARY PURPOSE:

This position is primarily responsible for solving business problems using analytical technical and business skills.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidates responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

(Includes accountabilities of subordinate positions)

Completes process data and work-flow analysis activities with limited direction and guidance
Collects and analyzes business requirements using structured methods producing deliverables such as Business Use Cases Business Architecture Diagrams Sequence Diagrams etc.
Testing and quality assurance of business systems developed
Participates in buy verses build decisions
Performs gap analysis in evaluation of application software packages and makes recommendations to management
Participate with other IS staff customers and other stakeholders in project reviews tests and pilots
Identify conflicting business practices and integration issues suggesting alternative solutions
Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IS colleagues to meet expected customer service levels
Develop business relationships and integrate activities with the IS department to ensure successful implementation and support of project and support efforts
Project management as assigned (perform at coordinator level)
Other responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Fully competent to work at the highest level of all phases of business analysis.
Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills
Process data and workflow modeling
Working knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
Coordinator level Project Management skills
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks
Experience with the Microsoft stack preferred
5 years experience
