Job Description
As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Port Arthur TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees contractors and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial chemical manufacturing location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification issuing and collecting visitor credentials maintaining visitor and contractor logs and directing arrivals to required check-in steps per site rules.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing pedestrian and vehicle traffic including deliveries and service providers and report irregular activity and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner completing timely notifications and accurate written reports in line with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings process-adjacent areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access observe for security-related concerns and document findings per site policy.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
