Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. This is a driving post and requires an armed guard card or license bringing agility reliability innovation teamwork and integrity to every shift.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to hospital staff patients and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Perform armed patrol duties throughout assigned buildings parking areas and perimeter routes including regular and random patrols to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with clinical teams and/or local law enforcement as needed.
- Monitor access points and conduct security-related screening and/or checks as directed verifying identification controlling entry to restricted areas and assisting with visitor guidance and wayfinding.
- Document patrols incidents and security-related observations in written reports and electronic systems and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 6 months of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
