Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol in Palm Springs CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced healthcare location you will conduct routine patrols remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to calls for assistance with calm professionalism. You will support patients visitors and staff through clear communication accurate reporting and strong customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures posted orders and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical facility disturbances access issues and security-related alarms and/or calls for assistance.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas parking areas and the perimeter; observe and report conditions that may help to reduce risk to people property and operations.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification following visitor management procedures and coordinating with site personnel regarding after-hours entry and/or special access requests.
- Complete security-related reports and logs document incidents and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
