Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol in Palm Springs CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced healthcare location you will conduct routine patrols remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to calls for assistance with calm professionalism. You will support patients visitors and staff through clear communication accurate reporting and strong customer service. At Allied Universal you will be part of a caring agile team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures posted orders and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical facility disturbances access issues and security-related alarms and/or calls for assistance.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas parking areas and the perimeter; observe and report conditions that may help to reduce risk to people property and operations.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification following visitor management procedures and coordinating with site personnel regarding after-hours entry and/or special access requests.
- Complete security-related reports and logs document incidents and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
