Job Summary

About the Role:
The Supply Chain Planning Manager also known as a Supply Planning Manager or S&OP Manager leads end to end supply chain planning operations to ensure demand alignment inventory optimization and operational efficiency across a multi-site manufacturing and distribution network. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing production planning capacity management inventory control and cross-functional collaboration to drive OTIF performance improve forecast accuracy and support business growth. The Supply Chain Planning Manager plays a critical role in Sales and Operations Planning integrated business planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the production planning and supply planning team to execute accurate data-driven supply plans across multiple manufacturing locations.

  • Oversee the Sales and Operations Planning process ensuring alignment between demand forecasts production capacity procurement and fulfillment operations.

  • Develop aggregate and detailed supply plans to balance service levels inventory targets and capacity constraints.

  • Drive inventory optimization strategies to improve inventory turns reduce excess and obsolete stock and maintain customer service targets.

  • Monitor and improve KPIs including forecast accuracy schedule adherence OTIF capacity utilization and working capital performance.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Procurement Logistics Sales and Finance to ensure seamless execution of supply chain strategies.

  • Manage capacity planning labor planning and production allocation across a distributed manufacturing network.

  • Identify supply risks material shortages and bottlenecks and implement mitigation plans to minimize disruption.

  • Oversee ERP and MRP system accuracy master data integrity and reporting to support effective supply chain decision-making.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process standardization automation and supply chain optimization.

Qualifications:

  • 7 or more years of experience in supply chain planning production planning demand planning or operations management within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Proven leadership experience managing supply chain planning teams in a multi-site or global network.

  • Strong expertise in Sales and Operations Planning capacity planning and inventory management best practices.

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP and MRP systems with strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance supply and demand while meeting service level agreements and cost targets.

  • Experience analyzing KPIs such as OTIF forecast accuracy inventory turns and working capital.

  • Strong cross-functional communication stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Operations Business Administration or a related field.

Desired Qualifications:

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.

  • Experience with integrated business planning or advanced planning systems.

  • Background in lean manufacturing Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience working with 3PL providers contract manufacturers or global sourcing networks.
