Rate of Pay: 19.55 - 26.18 per hour
Summary:
The Customer Service Agent will support the Contact Centre service delivering high-quality customer-focused support across multiple access channels including telephone face-to-face email and written correspondence.
Responsibilities:
- Handle complex customer enquiries via telephone face-to-face email and written correspondence in line with corporate customer care policies.
- Provide accurate advice using relevant IT CRM and telephony systems.
- Process payments (cash cheque credit/debit card) and issue invoices within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate customer records and ensure data protection compliance.
- Support customers who may be distressed irate or have special requirements responding in a professional and tactful manner.
- Monitor personal performance against agreed service targets and KPIs.
Essentials:
- Proven experience in a complex customer service environment (public sector experience desirable).
- Experience of working within a diverse community setting.
- Experience using IT systems CRM platforms and telephony systems in a customer-focused environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage face-to-face telephone and electronic enquiries efficiently and courteously.

- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
