Job Summary

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in environmental management environmental science planning environmental engineering or relevant disciplines.

  • 2 to 5 years experience in preparing Environment Plans for offshore petroleum activities. However we will consider applicants with relevant experience outside of this range.

  • Have an understanding of fundamentals of Environmental Impact Assessment process compliance and environmental risk management.

  • Experience in applying relevant Australian environmental legislation (e.g. Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 and (Environment) Regulations 2023 Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 WA Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources (Environment) Regulations 2012 Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Environment) Regulations 2012 and the Petroleum Pipelines (Environment) Regulations 2012).

  • Previous experience in the Energy and Resource sectors.

  • Enjoy writing and communicating clearly to a diversity of audiences.

  • Have strong professionalism and personal time management capabilities.

  • Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity

The Role

As a Technical Consultant I Environmental Engineer with Worley you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

The requirements for the candidate are:

  • Supporting or leading projects or parts of projects that deliver high quality environmental approvals for various offshore petroleum activities including Environment Plans and Offshore Project Proposals.

  • Developing approval strategies for offshore petroleum projects.

  • Coordinating technical environmental studies and environmental modelling as required in collaboration with project personnel and technical Subject Matter Experts.

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and promoting an inclusive collaborative culture.
