Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Shift in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns document observations and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site leadership and public law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Monitor access points and conduct security-related screening and/or verification of credentials and authorizations in accordance with site requirements.
- Complete written and electronic reports such as daily activity logs incident reports and patrol documentation and communicate observations to appropriate contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A DD214 with an honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
- Handcuffs pepper spray and/or baton experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
