Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Polkton NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal supporting a government corrections location as an Armed Patrol Officer. You will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents and respond to requests with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and is ideal for professionals who value agility reliability innovation teamwork caring for people and acting with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies post orders and applicable laws and/or licensing requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including requesting support from on-site staff and/or public law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas checking doors gates lighting and other conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas verify identification and/or authorization document security-related activity in written and/or electronic logs and report unusual conditions through the chain of command.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
