Job Description
As a Security Guard - Driver Entry Control Desk in Columbus OH you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where access control is key. As a Security Officer you will manage entry and badging verify credentials monitor alarms and activity and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license supported by a caring culture that values integrity teamwork agility reliability and innovation.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors contractors and employees by following site-specific access control procedures security-related protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification issuing and collecting badges screening visitors and deliveries and maintaining accurate logs and reports.
- Monitor alarms CCTV and communications equipment to identify unusual activity respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and promptly notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings process areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
- Support emergency and incident procedures by assisting with site notifications access restrictions and coordination with responding personnel while documenting actions taken in required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
