Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Petrochemical Access Driver in Freeport TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Control access at entry points by verifying identification issuing and retrieving visitor credentials and directing authorized personnel contractors and guests according to site requirements.
- Screen and process visitors deliveries and contractors by confirming appointments required authorizations and destination information and notifying site contacts as needed.
- Monitor access control systems alarms and gate equipment and report irregular conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports for arrivals and departures vehicle entries key control activities and incident-related documentation.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications and supporting on-site response teams as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings production-adjacent areas parking areas and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity unsecured doors and/or policy violations.
- Support traffic and vehicle flow at gates and checkpoints including directing commercial vehicles to designated staging areas and verifying shipping and receiving documentation when required.
- Participate in drills briefings and shift turnovers and communicate post updates procedural changes and observed concerns to incoming personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 years of security experience is required.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
