Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Hospitalin Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Join Allied Universal on an education campus as an armed patrol officer using a valid Armed Guard Card or License while conducting routine foot and/or vehicle patrols staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and responding to calls with calm professional communication. You will build rapport with students staff and visitors document observations and support campus operations. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an education location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings common areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions completing security-related reports and/or logs according to site requirements.
- Support campus events and after-hours operations by maintaining a professional presence providing directions and/or assistance and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- A Valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
- A State County or City Issued Security License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
