Job Summary

A well-regarded secondary school in Warwick is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join its successful Science Department. This is a full-time permanent position suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about delivering engaging and high-quality science education.

The Role

The successful candidate will deliver dynamic and engaging Science lessons encouraging students to explore question and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination specifications.

  • Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach A-Level depending on experience and specialism.

  • Supporting practical experiments and investigations in line with health and safety regulations.

  • Assessing monitoring and reporting on student progress and attainment.

  • Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.

  • Supporting enrichment opportunities such as STEM initiatives clubs and educational trips.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology Chemistry or Physics specialism welcomed).

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and safeguarding.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
