Please note: This role requires full-time travel with technicians working out of state on a weekly basis. Lodging and per diem will be provided.A technology and services provider is seeking a motivated CCTV / Low-Voltage Technician with strong experience in video surveillance systems structured cabling and network-based camera installations. This role focuses primarily on the installation maintenance and repair of CCTV systems including cameras recording devices network infrastructure and associated hardware across commercial industrial and high-security environments.
Qualified candidates will have hands-on experience deploying CCTV systems from design through implementation and will be skilled in diagnosing troubleshooting and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on IP-based and analog video surveillance platforms. Secondary responsibilities may include limited access control support where applicable.
This position works closely with a service and maintenance team and reports to a Service Manager.
Duties
Install configure maintain and troubleshoot CCTV systems including IP and analog cameras NVRs/DVRs encoders and associated networking equipment
Perform camera placement aiming focusing and field-of-view optimization
Diagnose and resolve video network power and recording issues
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance using manufacturer guidelines and checklists
Run terminate and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 coax fiber as applicable)
Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams vendors and clients
Produce accurate service documentation detailing system status work performed and recommendations
Develop material lists and labor estimates for CCTV-related repairs or upgrades
Coordinate with site personnel to safely perform work while minimizing operational disruption
Complete electronic close-out documentation including reports checklists and approvals
Plan and execute travel and logistics for service visits
Requirements Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and servicing CCTV or video surveillance systems
Strong knowledge of IP camera systems networking fundamentals and video management software (VMS)
Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting DVR and NVR platforms
Ability to configure cameras recording parameters storage and network settings
Experience with structured cabling terminations and testing
Ability to read and interpret system drawings and schematics
Familiarity with PoE switches and basic network troubleshooting
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and prioritize effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field service / reporting software
Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and site contacts
Valid drivers license and authorization to work in the United States
Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Ability to climb ladders work at heights and access equipment locations
Ability to travel by air or drive long distances as required
