Job Title: Clinical Dietitian
Facility/Unit: Nutrition Services
Shift: Days
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Days with rotating weekend coverage
Pay Rate: $28 $37.10/hr
Job Summary Samaritan is seeking a Clinical Dietitian responsible for the overall nutritional well-being of patients and residents. The Dietitian will collaborate with medical staff and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement nutrition care plans that promote optimal outcomes for patients and their families.
Responsibilities -
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments

Identify patients/residents at risk for malnutrition

Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE)

Develop individualized diet and nutrition care plans
-
Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of nutrition interventions
-
Provide nutrition education to patients families and staff
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
-
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
-
Promote high standards of customer service
Requirements -
Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics required

Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registration Eligible required
-
Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist in NYS preferred
-
1 year acute care or long-term care experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with PointClickCare Meditech MS Word Excel Outlook preferred
