Responsibilities
Qualifications
- A Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required. Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current RN Registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
- BLS Certification is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years related work experience and three (3) years supervisory experience is required.
- Knowledge and practice within one or more of the following areas: Operating Room PACU Ambulatory Surgical Unit (Preop) and Endoscopy Departments for a minimum of 5 years perioperative staff nurse and 3 years perioperative management experience required.
- Knowledge of Sterile Processing Department
- Experience in a collective bargaining environment
- History of managing a minimum of 20 FTE
- Experience in building staffing patterns and managing staff schedules required
- Ability to promote and atmosphere which facilitates collaboration and empowerment of staff
- Demonstrated process improvement activity
- Demonstrated committee involvement
- Current Certification in perioperative practice area preferred (CNOR ASPAN ABCGN) or obtain within 6 months of hire.
