Responsibilities:
- Manage the parts sales process from start to finish
- Keep customers informed on parts status
- Interact with staff and customers professionally and courteously
- Utilize parts catalog effectively to locate and identify parts
- Provide price quotes and information via phone
- Verify parts orders against body shop estimates
- Ensure excellent service for both internal and external customers
- Fulfill orders accurately from stock
- Conduct weekly bin checks to maintain stock accuracy
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock items or urgent needs
- Source out-of-stock parts promptly if necessary
- Ensure all parts requests are correctly billed on service orders
- Process payments from retail customers or obtain credit approvals
- Coordinate daily shipments deliveries or pickups
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in auto parts sales preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to sales transactions
