If being part of a dynamic team collaborating to achieve shared goals sounds like the perfect fit for you Science North Northern Ontarios top tourist destination wants you to join our science centre team!At the Science Centre our staff (known as Bluecoats) on the Natural Sciences team inspire engage and educate visitors by delivering exciting science shows and workshops focusing on the natural sciences and conservation. Bluecoats collaborate with experts to gain knowledge in various lab areas and develop creative hands-on ways to share this knowledge with diverse audiences. If you have a passion for science and learning well teach you the science you need to know to be successful!What You Bring: A passion for animals and an ability to WOW visitors in an immersive environmentComfort in handling native mammals fish and vertebrates (e.g. snakes turtles) and all manners of insects and invertebrates (e.g. snails cockroaches).A keen interest in science with a willingness to learn and grow your knowledgeExcellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environmentSuperior interpersonal skills and no reluctance in approaching unfamiliar peopleFrench would be an assetThis part-time position offers/requires flexible scheduling including weekdays weekends and holidays some weekend availability is an absolute necessity. Science North provides services in both official languages.
