We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join the science team and lead the effort to build and improve user taste graphs that will power personalized search and recommendation experience across eBay. As the Product Manager for user taste graphs you will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of initiatives aimed at improving the experiences for our customers ultimately driving revenue growth for the company. The candidate should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and should have experience with defining requirements driving cross team collaboration and exec level communication as well as working with product managers engineers applied researchers and analytics teams to define the solutions. The candidate should be adept at data driven decision making and with analyzing huge amounts of data.

What you will accomplish:

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for user taste graphs.

  • Data driven product prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platforms

  • Effectively communicate strategies & trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to development teams

  • Putting the customer first understand market specific nuances and identify science algorithm improvements to address unique market specific needs

  • Driving collaboration across multiple teams to ensure teams are aligned and are working towards solving customer problems

  • Drive A/B testing to identify launch candidates that improve metrics

What you will bring:

  • 5 years of consistent track record of product management experience. Ideally have previous experience building customer centric platform products delivering values to both sides of a market place (buyers and sellers)

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required; Masters Degree preferred

  • A consistent record of building new innovative and engaging customer experiences informed by customer data from various sources (market research A/B testing user research)

  • A customer obsession with a passion for everything related to search and recommendation technology and AI driven innovation to build great experiences for the customers

  • Strong quantitative skills with a data first mindset; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions recommendations and drive actions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Technically savvy (a technical role in past or Computer Science Degree)

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

C$133200 - C$177800

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
