The Electronics Engineer I is responsible for designing developing testing and assisting with integrating electronic and electrical systems for launch vehicles and their associated ground support systems and test infrastructure. How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:

Participate in the design of electronic units and systems for launch vehicles ground support systems and test infrastructure.
Provide electronics engineering insight and assistance throughout all phases of the development of an electronic unit or system including requirement definition design analysis testing and qualification.
Collaborate with software mechanical integration test manufacturing and production teams to deliver fully functional products.
Support hardware through test production integration and flight operations.
Maintain a professional standard of task and schedule documentation in line with company practices.
Act as a unit or subsystem Responsible Engineer functioning as a subject matter expert for that unit or subsystem.

Mandatory Qualifications Skills and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Electronics/Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.

Demonstrated electronics design experience and knowledge from Professional Student or Hobby backgrounds
Electronic product development experience designing electrical hardware from concept through production and operation with a strong emphasis on full life cycle development of new hardware products
Experience with design and test of mixed-signal circuit boards
Experience with common communication protocols including CAN Ethernet I2C and SPI
Experience with sensors including thermocouples strain gauges current transmitters and voltage sensors
Experience with hands on testing troubleshooting and debugging of electronics.
Strong understanding of computing and programming languages
(C/C and Python) and knowledge of or experience using git.
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-functional role
Passion for Space and an eager willingness to participate in the New Space sector
Experience with vehicle sensor networks and telemetry systems
Experience with Altium Designer
Experience with 3D Mechanical CAD tools
Lab testing of both developmental and production-level PCBs
Experience in the Aerospace industry
Experience working with subcontractors and vendors
Experience with common standards and best practices for designing hardware
Familiarity with or knowledge of relevant standards including SMC-S-016 MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461
Exposure to document management and systems engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
