CNC Machinist II - Vertical Lathe
As a CNC Machinist II youll play a vital role in driving production excellence by maintaining a clean efficient and collaborative environment. Your precision and dedication will help ensure minimal downtime consistent quality and a culture of growth and stability.
Key Responsibilities
Log time and job data using ERP software
Interpret work orders flow sheets and part drawings
Inspect blueprint dimensions using manual gauges
Load and verify tools and fixtures; fabricate basic fixtures as needed
Pull and verify correct materials from staging area per WOPAC
Set up and operate 3-axis mills and basic 2-axis lathe work
Upload/download CNC programs from programmer to machine
Align vices and locate fixture centers accurately
Submit first article and final inspections to Quality Assurance
Run production parts and conduct in-process inspections
Maintain a clean organized workspace following 5S principles
Perform daily and monthly machine preventive maintenance
Communicate with Supervisor to ensure successful job completion
Support all safety and quality system requirements
Take on additional duties as assigned
Note: This is a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic proficiency with ERP software
Minimum 5 years of experience in:
CNC Machining
Blueprint reading
Manual inspection gauges
Editing and writing CNC programs
Strong basic math skills: trigonometry knowledge preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods
