TD Asset Management (TDAM) a member of TD Bank Financial Group is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong Python expertise and deep experience of building scalable cloud-based data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing implementing and maintaining modern data platforms as well aa migrating on-premises SQL Server workloads to cloud environments. This role requires a strong understanding of data architecture automation and reliable data delivery practices to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain robust scalable data pipelines using Python and modern data engineering practices
• Build and optimize cloud-native data solutions on platforms such as Azure AWS or GCP
• Develop automated ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data sources
• Ensure data quality integrity monitoring and operational reliability across pipelines
• Collaborate with researchers and portfolio managers to deliver high-quality datasets
• Optimize performance cost efficiency and scalability of cloud data infrastructure
• Maintain documentation and enforce best practices in data engineering and DevOps processes

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation
• Proven experience building cloud-based data pipelines in Azure AWS or GCP
• Solid knowledge of SQL relational database design and query optimization
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern data architecture
• Experience working with APIs batch and streaming data ingestion
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory Synapse Snowflake and Databricks.
• Experience with event-driven or real-time data processing
• Experience working with financial datasets including equities market data pricing feeds or portfolio/transaction data
• Understanding of asset management and capital markets concepts including securities benchmarks and portfolio data is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with indexing data and quantitative datasets used in systematic or factor-based investment processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with data governance security and compliance best practices
• Exposure to machine learning data pipelines
• Experience with migrations from on-premises SQL server databases to cloud platforms.
