Position Summary:

The Account Executive is responsible for providing the first level of support to existing clients. They are expected to consistently deliver impeccable customer service and consultancy. They will represent client needs and goals internally within TransPerfect to ensure successful project completion and client addition they will develop relationships with prospective and existing clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

The successful candidate will have solid account management skills excellent problem-solving skills the potential to design and implement technical solutions and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams globally.

Specifically this role will be heavily focused on driving revenue within existing business and growing accounts through cross-selling and upselling TransPerfects services and solutions. The successful candidate will manage clients within the fashion/retail/luxury sector.

Position responsibilities:

  • Research prospective clients through several strategies including internet research trade show lists referrals yellow pages various professional directories and personal investigation

  • Lead specific tracks of work for large complex digital and localization projects

  • Assist in creating and monitoring adherence to project plans/budgets

  • Be responsible for all client communication understanding client goals and interests and discussing project requirements with clients

  • Communicate the clients goals project requirements and represent the clients interests to the team to ensure client expectations are met and managed

  • Work closely with the project management team to maintain continuous knowledge of project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project

  • Coordinate with colleagues in other departments for the purpose of ensuring efficient workflow

  • Ensure clients are regularly informed of project status and maintain clear communication with clients to ensure client needs are met and any issues are resolved

  • Strengthen and expand relationships with existing accounts

  • Assist in new business development (proposal development meetings and presentations)

  • Develop strong understanding of company capabilities and services and effectively communicates offerings to the client

  • Compose or generate a variety of materials (e.g. reports memos letters manuals etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities training providing written reference and/or conveying information regarding the status of projects etc.

  • Travel (including multiple annual conferences client meetings) - domestic and/or international

Job requirements

Required skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Advanced level of French

  • Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in account management and/or consultative sales for high-end enterprise-level clients

  • High level of relationship building with clients

  • Confident in cross-selling and up-selling across the client-company

  • Interest in the fashion and luxury sector

  • Excellent planning organizational and communication skills

  • Results-driven and ambitious with strong resilience

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Knowledge of project management tools

Desired skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of additional foreign languages at professional working proficiency

  • Experience within the digital/translation/localization industry ideally in a sales capacity

  • Prior experience in managing complex projects a plus

  • Experience working in a B2B environment withing the fashion/retail/cosmetics luxury sector
