Job Summary
GENERAL JOB FUNCTION: The Randolph School Van/Bus monitor will be responsible for maintaining discipline while school vehicle is in operation; maintaining proper records and documentation; and assisting in student loading unloading and seating arrangements as AND RESPONSIBILITES:Assist the van driver in maintaining discipline on school van; monitor and assist students while bus is in with and assist van driver in documentation of student information recordkeeping and completing route driver in assuring seat belts harnesses and wheel chair clamps are secured as parents and school personnel with safe loading and unloading of students; coordinate seating of pre-kindergarten students as required by State Transportation with classroom aides teachers principals and parents concerning student background medical problems and behavior as current knowledge of Emergency Evacuation handicapped children on and off the bus and escort children across street upon return home; lift children as required; assure responsible adult meets students leaving the in-service meetings and training courses as regular attendance Perform other duties as AND ABILITIES:Safe practices concerning school bus record-keeping and safety with 7D laws and regulationsABILITY TO:Maintain proper records and student loading unloading and seating arrangements as and relate to children with special and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with effectively both orally and in students according to established current knowledge of Emergency Evacuation routine health and safety be able to lift heavy objects (minimum 50 lbs.)PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Work is performed while standing sitting and/or the ability to communicate effectively using speech vision and the use of hands for simple grasping and fine bending squatting crawling climbing the ability to lift carry push or pull medium weights up to 50 poundsRequires activities involving being around moving machinery exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust fumes and :High School diploma. TERMS: per Collective Bargaining Agreement for Randolph Bus Drivers and Monitors Union SEIU Local 888.
